iHeartMedia Baltimore, MD announced today that Sonya Blakey has been named Program Director for Heaven 600, Baltimore’s Good News Station, effective February 1, 2024. iHeartMedia Baltimore, MD has a strong cross-platform presence and includes iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing four music stations.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Program Director, Sonya Blakey will be overseeing all programming operations of Heaven 600. She will report to Jeff Kapugi, Region Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Baltimore, MD.

Sonya Blakey will stay in the Chicago area as she joins Heaven 600 and will continue to program Inspiration 1390 as well as host the morning show, which she’s been a part of for over 20 years.
