iHeartMedia and P&G have announced the return of Can’t Cancel Pride for 2024, a significant event that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.

Honoring Billy Porter and Celebrating Music’s Impact

This year’s event will honor Billy Porter, the recipient of the Elton John Impact Award. Porter is recognized for his advocacy for marginalized communities, LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, and gender equity.

The event will be hosted from the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles and other remote locations across the country on June 12.

Can’t Cancel Pride 2024 will feature performances by notable artists such as:

  • David Archuleta: Performing “Hell Together,” inspired by his mother’s support.
  • Meghan Trainor: Collaborating with the Gay Mens’ Chorus of Los Angeles on her new single “I Wanna Thank Me.”
  • Melissa Etheridge: Joined by a surprise guest to perform her 1993 hit “I’m The Only One.”
  • Orville Peck: Singing his breakout cover, “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other.”
  • RAYE: Performing her new summer hit “Genesis.”
  • Victoria MonĂ©t: Delivering an electrifying performance of her hit single “On My Mama.”

Fans can tune in to the one-hour benefit special on June 12 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. The event will be available on iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages, Hulu, Revry, and The Advocate Channel. The special will also be available for streaming throughout Pride Month.

History and Impact of Can’t Cancel Pride

Created during the COVID-19 pandemic, Can’t Cancel Pride emerged when many Pride events were canceled, limiting visibility and fundraising for LGBTQ+ organizations.

Over its first four years, Can’t Cancel Pride has raised over 14 million dollars for these diverse organizations. In 2023 alone, the event reached over 23 million viewers and listeners.
