Tiffany Haddish’s Public Statement Debate: Steve Harvey Show (VIDEO)

The Steve Harvey Morning Show questioned if Tiffany Haddish should have issued a public statement about the child sexual abuse allegations. Comedians Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears were accused of child sexual abuse in a lawsuit filed last week. The suit was filed by two unnamed siblings and accused Haddish and Spears of recruiting them to perform indecent acts of a sexual nature for comedy sketches back in 2013 and 14.

Lawyers for Haddish said the accusations were a shake-down. The accused actress remained silent until Monday, when she said, “I know people have a bunch of questions, I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal case, there is very little that I can say right now. But clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all. And I deeply regret having agreed to act in it. I really look forward to being able to share a lot more about the situation as soon as I can,” said Haddish.

Steve Harvey said he does not understand how the “Girls Trip” actress’ attorney allowed her to make that statement. Harvey said the actress’s admission to acting in a skit and saying it was not funny alleges that something happened. Harvey said that he likes Haddish and thinks she’s cool. He hopes the situation works out for everyone involved.
