Another Atlanta news anchor Fox 5’s Aungelique Proctor has cancer and she let viewers know her story (see video) She plans to fight and has caught the cancer in Stage 2. She states:
“I’ve always been upfront I’m a transparent person and now I think it would almost be hypocritical if I didn’t share what’s happening with me because this news hits close to home to find the mass was really shocking and been diagnosed with stage two stomach cancer. Through me sharing my story my fight against cancer changes the stigma of this being something we shouldn’t talk about or this is something you fight quietly in the dark … alone. I plan to fight in the open and if it’s God’s will I will win.” source
