Atlanta Police Combat Explosive Celebrity Home Invasions (Video)

A recent wave of home invasions across metro Atlanta, involving high-profile victims including celebrities, has led to multiple arrests by local police.

How Atlanta Police Are Combating Celebrity Home Invasions

One notable victim, Marlo Hampton of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” fame, experienced a break-in on July 1st at her Sandy Springs home. The invaders forcibly entered her residence, prompting her to retreat to a panic room and call 9-1-1.

Police Response and Arrests

The Sandy Springs Police Department has been actively investigating these cases, which they believe are interconnected.

On a recent Sunday morning, they apprehended four young men as they attempted another home invasion, this time targeting the residence of a family member of rapper Future.

This arrest was part of a larger investigation that began with a home invasion on Northside Drive on October 1st, where seven suspects were detained.

Ongoing Investigations and Public Safety

The gang involved is suspected of committing at least 15 home invasions or burglaries in Sandy Springs alone, with additional crimes in other parts of metro Atlanta.

High-profile targets have included Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United players, and a prominent lacrosse athlete.

The police believe this crime ring has also targeted rapper Gunna’s residence in DeKalb County. Following these incidents, the police encourage the public to exercise caution when posting about luxury items on social media.

Call for Public Assistance

Sandy Springs PD is seeking public assistance to locate Jeremy Caldwell, also known as Jayrock, who is wanted for 33 charges related to these crimes.

Caldwell is described as having a distinctive tattoo of a red falcon on his right eye. The police consider him armed and dangerous and have offered a reward of up to twelve thousand dollars through Crime Stoppers Atlanta for information leading to his capture.
